Total Real Estate Units Sold December 2003 to 2009

Historical Real Estate Sales December 2003-2009

You won’t know where you’re going if you don’t look back at where you’ve been.  The Southwest Florida real estate market has been to the highest of highs and the lowest of lows.  If you’ve wondered where we were and if the recovery has begun, well this is the latest and greatest market report of historical sales for the month of December going back seven years.  You can see the dip and the recovery of sales.

The area that this report covers is all real estate sold in SW Florida from Marco Island, Naples, Fort Myers, Fort Myers Beach, Bonita Springs, Estero and outlying areas. If it was registered in the Sunshine MLS, it was counted in this report.  A little north of Corkscrew Road in Estero, Florida, the Multiple Listing Services changes over to Fort Myers, so listings trickle off.

Keep in mind, prices are down, but units sold is up. We’re selling that inventory off. If you’re curious about what real estate is selling by price or what percentage of real estate sales are foreclosure or short sales, read the real estate reports in these links also:
