Ho Ho Ho – This Guy Scares The Crap Out of Me

Most of Bonita Springs is located in Lee County, Florida

A small portion of the city of Bonita Springs, the southwest corner of Bonita Springs, is located in Collier County, Florida.  Most of the Collier County portion of Bonita Springs is comprised of the communities of Bonita Shores, the “numbered” streets which are west of Vanderbilt Beach Drive and south of Bonita Beach Road, plus the community of Barefoot Beach which is located just south of Bonita Beach Road across from Bonita Beach and Tennis Club.

As far as searching for a geographic code for Bonita Springs real estate, at the time of publication, the NA01 search term is used for this tiny strip of real estate which is called Bonita Springs, but lies in Collier County.

Cash is King – Bonita Springs Real Estate 

Ever wonder how real estate purchases are paid for?  Can you believe sixty-six percent of all real estate that closed sale in November 2012 was paid for by cash and twenty-seven percent of real estate was paid for with conventional financing. 

You’ll notice the fractional amount of owner financing. Out of 965 closed sales only one real estate transaction was sold owner financing. Ice Cream in Downtown Bonita Springs Florida

One of our family favorite deserts is ice cream and there is no place better for ice cream in Downtown Bonita Springs than For Heaven’s Shakes ice cream.  Besides the periodic random pit stops through out the week for a cool treat, our family occasionally skip dinner all together and opt for ice cream!  That’s exactly what happened the night that we took this picture during a trip to For Heaven’s Shakes.

The youngster in the picture was picking out “Superman” ice cream, a For Heaven’s Shakes favorite for kids.  The rest of us ordered our ice cream, vanilla ice cream cones and a hot fudge sundae and then took a walk over to Riverside Park.

For Heaven’s Shakes is located on Old US 41 Road at Pennsylvania Avenue just south of Riverside Park and across the street from the Bonita Springs Fire Department.

Veterans Memorial at Night With Lights

Riverside Park in Downtown Bonita Springs was decorated for the holiday season so when I took pictures of the holiday décor and such I grabbed a few pictures of the Veteran’s Memorial. If you’re interested in viewing the Veteran’s Memorial, it’s at Riverside Park in the southwest corner of the park where the bandshell is located.
