Periodically, I receive email questions that are worthy of becoming put on the real estate blog. This time, it’s about non-golfing communities in Bonita Springs and Estero. While we do have our share of golf course communities, both bundled golf and equity golf, we also do have non-golf communities. Believe it or not, there are people without the time to golf or perhaps, the talent. To forgo the cost of golf they opt for a gated, deed restricted community which does not include golf.
The following question is along the lines of where to look for homes in non-golf communities. In the answer the communities are hyper linked to resource pages with a live MLS search for each non-golf community at the bottom. Good luck, god speed.
We’re a family trying to find a $300K-$350K home in the Estero, Bonita Springs or South Fort Myers area. We have a young family with school age children, non-golfers, so we’re looking for recommendations regarding communities and homes to consider. Please let me know your thoughts.
For the record, it’s not a crime to be a non golfer! Cedar Creek , Marsh Landing, Chadwick Square (MLS search only), Meadowbrook, Bella Terra (the newest of the communities with no golf) Colonial Oaks, Lakes at Estero (MLS search only), , Reserve at Estero, Village Walk of Bonita Springs, San Remo at Palmira are a few Bonita Springs and Estero communities in the area that first come to mind.
While these communities do not have golf, they do have amenities which include community pool, tennis courts, meeting rooms, fitness center. Some of the non-golf communities, such as Village Walk, have restaurants, post office, and more on site.
Feel free to click any of the non-golf community names above to read more about the lifestyle and features of each.
