How Far Should A Real Estate Agent Travel?
How far can a real estate agent travel and still be an expert? A city? A county? A different state? Your real estate agent may travel the state with you to help you buy real estate but is it the best representation you could possibly have?
Will they know:
Current zoning issues?
Development orders? What if a Walmart is proposed in that vacant field across the street?
Proposed changes to the area? NIMBY things … (Not In My Back Yard)
Environmental issues? Ever hear of a scrub jay? Your agent may not have either.
What if there was something being build nearby that negatively effected the value of the home you were buying and they didn’t know about it because they lived outside of the area?
As a consumer, how far do you think your real estate agent can travel and still be considered an expert?
