A Local's View of La Scala

Over the years, I have worked with buyers and shown property in La Scala. La Scala is the high-rise closest to the water in The Colony. Castella sits nearly as close. As a mid-rise, though, its highest floors do not see as far as the upper floors of La Scala.

One of the funniest showings I have ever had happened here. We took the elevator up to what I was told would be a vacant residence. When the door opened, a life-size butler statue was standing right inside the foyer, holding a tray. Everybody screamed. That is part of showing property. You never anticipate a surprise until a full-size butler is in the foyer, lying in wait. The buyers did not purchase that condo. It was not because of the butler. They went on to fall in love with a high-rise residence in Bonita Bay.
