Cracker Cove at Bonita Bay is a charming enclave of Olde Florida style homes nestled in the center of Bonita Bay. The homes are reminiscent of the old style home built in turn of the century Florida. There are no other homes like them in Bonita Bay and very few like them in the City of Bonita Springs.
Cracker Cove homes are designed on stilts with wood or wood style siding, ornate moldings, tin roofs with gables and copulas. Square footages range from about 1,500 – 2800 square feet. Homes in Cracker Cove have access to a community pool centrally located amongst the thirty eight homes in the Cracker Cove neighborhood. The homes were built from 1988 to 1996. There is no vacant land in Cracker cove, as the neighborhood is built out.
The homes of Cracker Cove are painted a variety of fun, almost Victorian style colors so there is more uniqueness and personality to the real estate than in most neighborhoods. The large grandfather oak trees and lush foliage give the appearance the Cracker Cove has been around for ages.
Cracker Cove consists of two streets, Cracker Way and Survey Circle. Until the early 1900’s “Survey” was once the name of the city of Bonita Springs. The developers of Bonita Bay not only preserved nature, and trees when they built the area, but little bits of history.
